Solstice MoonDance — and Father’s Day.

What a special way to celebrate. Let’s dance and sing our prayers to the fire and the setting sun. Let’s be grateful for fathers and our families. Let’s howl to the sun as it sets on spring and twirl into the moon in all its brightness.

Asher Lake will be starting the fire ceremony with a bow drill. If you’ve never witnessed this kind of fire starting, I can tell you it’s truly magical. It invites us to recall a time when that’s all we knew.

Then, together, we will tend the fire through the evening (not the whole night), sharing with it our intentions and our grief, our songs and our sweat, our fears and our praises.

We will do sit spots, like always.

Oh, and will we ever dance.

I’ll also be hosting a specially curated digital dance experience for a short portion of the night.
